From Surviving to Thriving: Older Adults & Trauma Informed Care

DayBreak’s Spring conference will spotlight the unique needs of older adults who suffer from trauma. Together, you’ll learn how interdisciplinary teams can work together to better care for their clients suffering from trauma, and to better care for themselves by addressing secondary (or vicarious) trauma to providers.

The wonderful keynote speakers are:
– Dr. Joy DeGruy PhD, a nationally and internationally renowned researcher, educator, author and presenter. She is the author of Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome — America’s Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing.

– Dr. Joyce Mikal-Flynn, a nationally and internationally recognized expert on survivorship and post traumatic growth (PTG), who created a clinical pathway called Metahabilitation.
